Hello you. It's been a while.

Saturday 27th April 2024

Hello friends,

At the end of last year, I said that I was taking a couple of weeks hiatus from writing this newsletter.

And that was four months ago.

Oops!

OK. I don’t feel too bad. I’ve been busier than expected: finishing off pieces, developing a process for proper in-situ photography, and planning more courses.

But your regular weekly woodworking service will now resume.

Tomorrow I will send you all a revised welcome letter. This will let you know what to expect in the coming weeks, and give you some new articles to read if you are interested.

(I have written a whole new series on The Essential Tool Kit, that should be of interest to anyone involved in woodwork on any level.)

After that, you’ll receive a weekly article every Saturday morning. Something for you to read as you sit in the café and enjoy your morning coffee. Or perhaps morning champagne. I’m not one to judge.

Finally, if you want to come and visit me in person, the Sylva Wood Centre will be open for two days over Oxfordshire Art Weeks: Saturday 18th - Sunday 19th May, 10am - 6pm. Come and meet over a dozen skilled craftspeople, visit the Sylva Wood School and walk over to see our reconstructed Anglo Saxon house - The House of Wessex. I’ll be in my regular spot, so come and say hi.

Until next time,
Stay sharp friends,
~sh

P.P.S. - “Why did I receive this email?”
Well sometime in the dim and distant past, you signed up to my email list. Either on my website or at a show. It’s fair to say that my emails are more like personal letters than quick product overviews. If this is not what you were hoping for, I get it. I can’t stand unwanted emails clogging up my inbox either. So please scroll down and click unsubscribe at any time.

P.P.P.S - “You made a typo in the third paragraph…”
Haha probably! You, dearest reader, are my proof-reader. Questions, comments, suggestions or corrections are ALWAYS welcomed! Hit reply and it’ll come straight through to my inbox.
